Can you give me more info on how you did this with the JL. We did this to my JK and I’m thrilled to see someone do it in the JL. In our JK we used the teraflex brackets and a seat from a 2door JK. Will that seat still work or did you use a different seat? What did you use to attach it? Can I reuse my teraflex brackets or did you use something else? Thanks for any info.
I was trying to track down an all-in-one seat and seatbelt like the Little Passenger Seats that were made for the JKs. I was looking at Land Rover and Land Cruiser jump seats. I did end up speaking with Baer Trax (they were a dealer/installer for Little Passenger Seats —before they went out of business)
https://baertrax.com/ in Texas and they are apparently reintroducing the 3rd-row with similar designs to what LPS had.

So I chose a factory replacement seat for a CJ. I was looking for the smallest bench seat that I could find. I used the hardware that came with the seat and mounted the front two brackets through the tub with the large washers that came with the racing harnesses. For the rear, I welded up a bracket of 1/4” steel plate that uses 4 of the 6 cargo tie down/D-ring bolt locations for the rear of the seat and that’s what I tied the harnesses into. I found 4-point harnesses from Wesco that have a floor-mount design for the shoulder harness. I opted for racing snap-ends so that I could disconnect quickly and tumble the seat forward. The main bracket across the back comes out by removing the 4 factory cargo area load bolts. (If anyone can find load limits for these I am very interested in knowing what those numbers are.)

Here’s the seat and harness that I used. I did buy the eye bolts for the snap ends from Wesco as well.

Thank you! My JL is currently sitting in I status,so I don't even have it yet but we'll be adding a third seat to it for very occasional use. That's really helpful.

Had the Rough Country 2.5 spacer lift put on my JL Sport, tires and wheels to come early next week! Was supposed to have those installed today too, but I’ll have to drive around looking like a Sting Grey roller skate for a couple days on the stock shoes.

I ordered this lift today. How ling did it take you to install and how does the ride differ from stock height?

Today I added some Molle bags. A person here mentioned that that the 5.11 Tactical pouches fit perfectly. And they do, but this was my first Molle experience and it was hell threading them into place. Maybe because 5.11 uses a rigid-reed, or because the Jeep seats have almost no slack on their webbing. I got them all done, but wow, it took a while. The other forum member suggested 10x6, I bought one of those for behind the driver seat. On the other side, I really wanted a trash bag or something for when I am off-roading. I know a lot of people use "dump/ammo bags", but I wanted something larger. So on the passenger side I went with a "Tactical Baby Gear" dump bag. Don't laugh, it works great. I did cut off the "daddy brand tag" though. :) Its slightly pricey, but I like how opening the pouch gives you a grocery sized bag, and that it removes from pouch for emptying and cleaning. My only problem with it is that it has a drain hole in the bottom, so its more of a dry trash bag. So anyway I paired that bag with a 5.11 6x6 bag on the passenger side. Worked out great. Haven't decided what I would store in them yet, but maybe I will move some tools from the "trunk" to them. Really wanted to do a First-Aid kit but those all seemed a little extreme. I can make my own with the common supplies I would need. I already have a cheapie in the "trunk", but its getting old, so that could be the upcoming project.

Oh and I picked up a Jeep Sunglasses holder bag for the front roll cage. I really like that too. My sunglasses case barely fits in the zippered pouch, but it does. Guess I could get a less bulky sunglasses case too. Then you still have the extra pocket outside, think it could be good for spare change or a few bucks... not sure yet, but storage is always good to have. Forgot to grab a picture of that, maybe later. Also installed the Mopar "D" floor mats today, picked those up on Ebay.

So people post pictures and then people like me always ask for the links, so here are the links first. :)

Can you post a pic with the mag lite in it? How do you like the holder? Thanks.
Mag light fits perfectly. The holder does what it’s supposed to so I’m happy!!

It took about 3 hours to install. As for ride difference, slightly higher and felt somewhat less stable until I had my wider tires installed. Could have just been a placebo effect though.
