Math is hard. Got this off the Weather Tech Mud Flaps thread.

"I paid $50 for front flaps 3 years ago, it looks like now they are $80. That's a 160% increase."

I made $5 per hour 3 years ago. Now I get paid $8 per hour. That's a 160% increase.

Same here - reinforced the old adage I'd give staff officers during their in-brief, rule 6. Don't do math in public.

Oh I hate it when my wife stares at me when we get the bill at a restaurant. Suddenly I am incapable of doing basic math to calculate the tip.

Easy - 10% of total so you can just move the decimal place, round up to nearest whole/half dollar, times by 2. Takes the guess work out of it.
