Man, didn't realize the 3 speed in my buddy's YJ had such a tall first gear - it's only 2.74:1. Coupled with the 2.72:1 tcase and (if stock, haven't gotten him to open diff cover yet to check) 3.73 gears, it's got like 1/3 the crawl ratio a stock JLR with the 8 speed has. Crazy.

Makes me wonder how long it takes for the torque converter to match input and output speeds with a 1st gear like that.
