Had a nurse who was teaching the health portion of our orientation at Ft. Drum refer to them as STDs. She asked if anyone in the room had any STDs, and it was so silent you could hear a pin drop. As none of us knew what she was alluding to. Then she goes on to say that she has 3 and she named them. Then it started to dawn on us.
??? Guessing not sexually transmitted diseases, but not Serial Transmit Data either?

Sometimes I think that civil engineers design poor road and intersection layouts on purpose because they're mad that they chose civil engineering instead of something interesting.
I worked with dozens of Civil Engineers over the years, and I can tell you most are good people. The problem with road design is they have so many "rules" they have to follow that have been mandated by the DOT, that there hands are pretty well tied on what they can do. I'm sure @Sean L can back me up on this.

Just so everyone is aware, as is the case with the Synergy rear braided brake lines, the Grimm Offroad rears are not compatible with the 392/XR rear brake calipers. I can go in to detail as to why if anyone wants to know (basically, the banjo bolt hole is 90° rotated from the one on a regular m220 rear axle caliper).

I talked with Synergy Mfg. today and they're coming out with a new rear part that solves the problem. They said next week.

NR4x4 is emailing me a return shipping label for the Grimms.

So I guess that means I gotta use the stock brake lines for Moab. :swear:

@Tech Tim

Also, the peeps at Synergy seem to think that Grimm is going/gone out of business. Is that true?
Make sure you get your $61.60 in shipping costs back from NR4x4 too.

Deer lease?
No, we're going down for more food and cruising the beaches. Rockport has a Seafair every fall that we used to go to when we lived down in the Corpus Christi area. Gumbo cookoff, tons of Shrimp, Oysters on the half shell, Oysters Rockefeller, etc. And did I mention cruising the beach with the jeep?

One of my decorations is the Spec book from 1980. The 2018 and 2024 books are twice as big. And that's just for Signals. Not even touching on the roads themselves.

It'll be a long off wave. We'll go 79 down to Rockdale, then pick up 77 down through La Grange to Victoria, then down to 35 over to Rockport. Only takes about 1 hour more than taking 59 down to Houston then across, but traffic is a lot more pleasant and the scenery is a lot better. (And don't have to mess with Houston traffic)!!!

Close-ish to home at least. If you are going through Lexington, then you should at least get some Snow's BBQ

Older guy + boat + facial hair of any kind == angry face

Never seen an older guy smile on a boat. Makes me glad I don't have buying one in my retirement plans.
