Had a nurse who was teaching the health portion of our orientation at Ft. Drum refer to them as STDs. She asked if anyone in the room had any STDs, and it was so silent you could hear a pin drop. As none of us knew what she was alluding to. Then she goes on to say that she has 3 and she named them.
