I have a set of 392 final edition shocks i believe the rear lift stock is 1.5". My rear height is 3" now the rear shock is extended 1.5" more compare to 1.5" stock. Do i need to put shock extension like 2" teraflex to stay closer to stock?

Depends how much bump stop extension you are running.

So none?

The 392 and the XRs come with 1 or 1.5" of extra bump already. You normally want to protect your shock from bottoming out (being used as the bump stop). Adding shock extensions extend the compressed (minimum) length of the shock.

Normally you want to add an equal amount of bump extension as you do shock extension, you may want to consider adding more than that to get to make up for the XR bump, but yes extensions could potentially put you in a more balance up/down travel position at ride height.

My main concern is the ride quality, having the rear shocks extended 1.5" more will not dampen as good as stock.

So do you have a lift kit on it or just a Frankenstein mishmash of parts?

So you put 392 suspension under your Willys and gained 3" .... that sounds about right and exactly where you would expect the 392 shocks to ride, its not a 3" lift FROM the 392 height so your shocks arent any more extended than if they were on a stock 392. Even with the 1" spacers you should be fine.

Those measurements are ususally from a stock Rubicon not a sport

I'd expect @yokramer is correct, but, if you'd like to check you can measure your shocks eye to eye at ride height.

The rear shocks should be 19.00" compressed and 27.38" extended. I'd expect XR design ride height to be about 24" eye to eye on the shocks.
