I am about to buy a lift kit. I want to get at least a 1.75 inches to 2 inch lift kit.

Running 285/70 17's...

Do i NEED shock extenders? I saw a kit that sold it with or without extenders.

Need you guys' expert advise. .

1.75" to 2", I would say get the 2" shock extension, I have the same amount of lift and I have shock extensions.

Thanks, so did you get them cause they came with the kit or you feel that the stock shocks woulda been over extended?

And do you feel that 0-2" was enough?...

Like i said, I'm running 285/70 17's and i don't foresee myself ever going bigger than 35's...

I just bought them separately because I thought 1.75" was closer to 2" than 0".
0.25" will not over compress the shocks.
1.75" might over extend though.

Or just get 2" longer shocks that will likely handle the increased tire weight and decrease body roll better than OEM. I know I noticed a difference when I tossed the OEM shocks.

True.
But pretty sure the people doing this/asking this is trying to save money as priority or on a limited budget. But yes, there are many things on the Jeep I would love to toss too if I had unlimited resource as well.

I don't rock crawl or go hard core mudding, honestly, i want the extra clearance for our snow storms and drifts when they hit us hard.... we have storms that last days sometimes and can accumulate from 6 inches to 4 feet of snow in one storm. ....

So i don't want or need really expensive lifts (oh, if i had disposable monies, I would ;)) just want a little something else to help with those situations. But i also don't want to add extra stress on other mechanical pieces either in the process, that was why my initial question.

Again, thank you too you both for your input with this matter....:like:
