Yay, a Landy! What's with the canoes?
Nothing. They have to keep the canoes on top of their vehicles for the whole competition. They have a few water missions where they will need them.

well, here I was thinking it was still a 4.0 under all that...

Speed has never seemed to be the case in any Uwharrie trail videos I've seen, it would be interesting to see that thing in action lol.
I assure you this thing is badass offroad going slow or fast. Its built for the purpose.

I'll hold yer beer...

In all seriousness, it does look a lot like that waterfall in that "Manifesto" commercial.

P.S.(A.) Beer and Jeeping do not mix of course.

Good morning Sean...:giggle:

Well, I just came across this gem in my morning Internet travels...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Just-world_hypothesis

Basically, the notion that if something bad happens to someone, they had it coming; and that only those who deserve it get it. I think you and I have thoroughly disproved that with our "quarrels" over nothing. ;)
So... I will refute this thought process. We each have our God given free will, and sometimes that causes people to suffer without "deserving" it.

A few examples, mainly with atrocities commited during war times. My wife's grandmother was witness to the Japanese onslaught in the Philippines just after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Tens of thousands of civilians killed, many of them in a slow and painful fashion. Did any of them really deserve such a painful death? I would say no, and that it was the result of the conscious choices of other people that caused this to happen.

Comeuppance isn't guaranteed as well. Adolf Hitler left this life on his own terms rather than facing the judgement of the world.

Conversely it is possible that you can bring about your own downfall through poor or cruel decisions. Either by ignoring warnings, or causing harm to others to the point that other people decide to stop you, either violently or by other means.

It is a true ass kicker. It's tough on the competitors and the volunteers.

OH yeah, It does remind me a bit of the Warthog from the Halo games. Rock climb when you need to, or just go super fast when you need it to.

Very well said. The theory "sounds" great. But doesnt account for those things (or the wrath of a dead army, Confederate or pirate, on JHWR) ;)
