So true story - during the height of the GWOT I used to answer phone calls and stuff from my best friend by saying stuff like "You've reached Glen's Jihad Emporium, where we've got everything you need for your infidel situation". Or I'd just sprinkle random keywords into every conversation. I really like to think that there was some poor sucker at the FBI or NSA who had to listen to our inane bullshit because of those keywords.

I always wanted one of those. They were the best thing to carry patches in. I think i still have all mine upstairs somewhere.
My wife put all my Jamboree patches in an album years ago. I still regret not scoring a Malibu council Order of the Arrow patch. Those were sweet with about a hundred different colors.

that won't work at the post office. management will tell you to go home, change and come back to work. thats what my office will do if someone didnt have a full uniform on. one would say if i go home, i will not come back today. that will end up in a write up. 🙄

my office is a very toxic place to work at. 😒

We had a lodge in my area that only allowed 2 lodge patches per lifetime. It was put into their bylaws. If you needed a new one, you were expected to turn in your old patch. Those dumb things had maybe 4 colors, and traded like they were diamonds.

Some lodges really put $ into their patches, especially their back patches. As a kid, I was stunned with what some adults were paying during patch auctions.

I haven't thought about it in forever, but I really liked my red wool OA jacket. Back in the day, it really did a good job of keeping me warm on camp outs. It was a quality item.

i've been going thru A LOT of patches and tallying up the $$$ into them. i did stop after awhile realizing how much i've spent.

believe it or not, i have not gotten myself a red wool jacket to put some patches on them. however, i have a few large gray wool blankets with the idea of sewing the patches on. on a second thought, i dont want to ruin the patches. so, they are stored in those big pretzel can that was popular back in the 90s.

Made it down here with no issues driving mostly 1 handed. Even got decent mileage on the interstate. Doing 70, got me 20mpg...until I hit a traffic jam.

Roxy's gear were in great shape. The oil could have been used quite a while longer. All put back together with new oil and sent on my way.
