Mornin folks. Daycare plague turned into a full-scale gastrointestinal rebellion on Tues night/Wed morning. The wife and I very much did not appreciate that. Appear to be on the mend as of now, even got to sneak in some Jeep work yesterday as I was off for an appointment with a countertop place for the bathroom we're having added upstairs.

Also, the Jeep without fenders gives me naughty thoughts of buggifying the Jeep

The wife even said "Well it's a third vehicle, if you wanted to go full buggy it's up to you". Thought about it for a long minute, but I'm not sure I wanna work the kind of overtime necessary to put that kind of work and parts into it. At least not yet.

Some picks from a local Car Show yesterday. My favorite were two Broncos. A guy restored the first Bronco for his daughter,

Then started on this bronco and died of cancer. So his brother finished the restore for his brother and then gave the bronco to to his brother's son. The pics do not do it justice.

Then there was this bronco too.

This sounded great and looked like fun to drive.

Pretty cool square body.
IMG_7521.jpeg

I just like the old vet with side pipes. I can only imagine the the burn blisters on my my calf's as I get out of the car though.
IMG_7506.jpeg

Land yacht anyone. I would drive this.
IMG_7505.jpeg

Not a fan of the El Camino cars, but hey twin turbo, big block, slammed, tubbed and big slicks make a stupid car cool.

My favorite Jeep at the show.
IMG_7495.jpeg

There was one guy at the show with a JLUR 392. I did not take a picture of it because, the upgrades that he made were all cheap bullcrap stuff, cheap winch, cheap bumpers. cheap rock rails with a step than hung down, It looked stupid. Like hey, I bought a $100,000 Jeep and put a $200 winch on it, and fake rock rails and junk bumpers kind of like wtf, did your spouse put you an a $12 budget for Jeep mods kind of thing.

This was cool, and I am not into these.
IMG_7490.jpeg

I would like to own something like this. I am a fan of convertibles. This was a nice ride.
IMG_7488.jpeg

This was cool too.
IMG_7486.jpeg

On a side note, if you think that a 392 sounds cool at start up, you really need to hear a C8 Z06 corvette at start up. It was glorious. I should have videoed it.
I remember the Olds Delta 88 - it was a boat, as a lot of the top models for manufacturers were back then. My dad had an Buick Electra 225 I thought would require a special license to drive:).

Firebird looks really nice and color, even though I don't think original, is great.

Life lesson from work:
If someone is doing you a favor, moving a four train of steel dollies by hand, so they can park their train out of you way, DON'T BE A DICK.
Twerp came hustling over, and loudly insisting I can't park "these" dollies (the train still hooked to my tug) in the opening for his are. Which I wasn't near, or even pointed towards.
So, I pulled three of the four trains over in front of that entrance by hand, and broke them all apart. He looked up from his movie just in time to see me driving off with "these" dollies. Which I did not park in that spot.
His supe called my full-timer, and tried to complain, but just got laughed at. "Maybe he shouldn't just start yelling at employees. People tend to understand instructions better when you're civil."

Part of me wishes I had gone Tanks. lol!

But they really were overkill for most of the operations while I was in. Fallujah was about the only time they saw heavy use. Not to say they weren't a good backup for the rest of the time though!
