We did! When I lived in Northern Ontario, we put hunting vests on our dog during bear season. The resemblance was a bit too much...

We encountered one a couple of times while our with our boy.

This is our fourth Newfoundland. Shiraz (best dog ever) was our first. We lost Chianti on July 1. Tempranillo is our maniacal 3 year old who had both knees reconstructed last year (cruciate tears - who knew it was an omen for things to come), and Cabernet is our new family member.

The breed is amazing. We really do love them.
wow. I never would have considered the need to actually distinguish them from a bear though...

I've only met a few Newfies, as down here in the south isn't the best environment for them. They were loving and friendly and only wanted to be my friend.

Out of curiousity, what’s the basic warranty on a US Jeep?
Off the top of my head, something like 3 year/30,000 miles. Thats 3 Metric Years and 48,280 Km. ;)

Reading Trina's response, 36,000 sounds right.

New puppy night here.

Barking because she was crated.

Then I gave up and let her out.

Wrestle mania with the other dog.

Then I gave up and locked the other one in the crate.

Puppy-wandering.

Finally fell asleep, grateful that I’m on vacation and can sleep in.

Puppy woke up at 6.
First night is the worst! :) But she’s cute!

I got my build sheet today from Jeep Garage for Gamora!

Woot!

On a sad note, she wasn’t built on the Jeep birthday. She was built on July 31.

(Unless the time on the build sheet means when her build started. Then she was finished on August 1...)
Well, your birthday is determined by when you were delivered, not when your mother went in to labor...I'd say she was born on August 1.

I believe it is 3 years/ 36,000 miles..whichever occurs first
Okay, so the same-ish. We are 36 months or 60 000km. (Initially, I was going to complain that ours was shorter - thinking yours was more like 60 000 miles. Ahem... I’m going to bite my tongue now.)
