How did you wire the rigid?
I tapped into the backup light circuit on the OEM trailer plug. White wire wth an orange trace.

Installed Rigid Spot LED side shooters (D-SS Pro) using supplied hardware and wiring. I cut out the relay and switch that was included and wired to the aux wiring under the hood, very simple install. I don’t love the bracket but it works for now. They draw just over 3 amps and I connected them to Aux 3 switch.
You can get the rough country mount only for $20 and install them, its what I did. Love them.

No Bikini top. Like some others I am running the freedom panels only. My back seats stay down for my flat back cargo area.
But the rear white edge of the panels needed some black paint. The white edge just looked like hell from behind.

I installed the Mopar hinge reinforcement kit and the Mopar oversized spare relocation kit and managed to strip the head of one of the button head bolts on the hinge. It was on the last torque that the torx wrench slipped out of the button head and rounded it off. I'm 80% confident that it is tight enough, but to my OCD eyes the fact that it is stripped causes me anxiety, so off to the hardware store to find a replacement.............

Which grab handles are those ? Haven't found matching front and rear for the JL, except black Mopar. I like the black/red.

How did you mount the lights? I have the stock Steel Rubicon bumper.
Thanks

@Luco is like me, he has the plastic rear bumper. On the plastic bumper there are screws on the underside that can be removed and you can use the same female with a longer screw (male) in order to mount the Rigid Engineering 20541 Black, Backup LED Light.

For a steel bumper you would have to drill two holes on the underside of the bumper... unless you have two available there already. Each light requires one screw to secure it to the bumper with from what Luco has said.

I started the install of the Rigid's today. I'm 98% completed, I'm just waiting on the lights themselves to attach to the placed wiring.

I'm using Aux 3 and ran 16g wire from the #3 Aux wire connect in the engine compartment, thru the passenger side frame rail (threaded it right thru the rail with a coat hangar) to the rear of the JL. Also had to drill for and place a self taping screw to use in grounding the lights.

Anyway, all done and waiting the lights to show up this Friday and then I'll just need to do 4 quick connections.

I opted to use Aux 3 versus splicing into the trailer tow package wiring for two reasons...

Main reason was I want to be able to turn those LED lights on anytime... especially when connecting my motorcycle trailer at night, when loading or unloading the trailer at night, etc..

The other reason was that I am hesitant to cut into any factory harness. IF I were to have any issue with the trailer tow package wiring, the friggin dealer would probably say it was because I cut into the harness.

So that was reason #2, but reality is, I want those rear LED lights to be operation at anytime I want, not just when my JL is actively in reverse.
