Has anyone ever had the same problem. I own a 2019 Jeep Sahara. I love it, never had a problem, other than I did change the main battery once. So last week, when the battery died again, I figured it must be ESS battery causing in the issue. I figured it was draining the power from the main battery, so I went to replace both batteries. However, when I opened up the compartment, the ESS battery was not there. It was weird because not even the wire harness was there. There was nothing to connect to the battery, just the molded plastics seat where the battery should sit. So I just changed the main battery and the truck runs fine. Even stop & starts at lights, which I don’t know how. Anyway, i’m thinking about taking it back to the Jeep dealer and complaining that it must’ve never came with a battery. Is that possible? I mean no one has worked on the Jeep other than the dealer. The issue is I did have the bumper changed out, for a future wench and a subwoofer installed, but nothing under the hood. Is the dealer going to blame them for theft of the battery. Because who would take the wiring harness as well?

Is it the starter doing the start stop or a different sound ?

While you're on Jeep.com creating your owner's account (free), once you input your VIN you can download many really handy things like, the owner's manual, the window sticker (already mentioned), and a complete list of installed options. Full warranty information is listed as well as the manual on how to use your Uconnect radio, for example.

You didn't mention the engine in your Jeep but it's a 2019 Sahara so I'm betting it's the 2.0 Turbo which came with etorque. It's a great combo! I know, I had one for 4 years and 60K trouble free miles. You do have two batteries but not the silly small battery hidden beneath the main battery under the hood. The 48V etorque battery is underneath the Jeep, opposite the fuel tank.

Enjoy that Jeep!

How do you buy a vehicle, any vehicle not just a Jeep, and know little to nothing about what you’re driving?
I see this at work all the time and it’s remarkable.

You said it’s a 2019. Have you owned it for the past four years?

Believe it or not, they make more than one model of Jeep. Maybe give us a little more specifics like engine, and we can help.

Amazingly, many people just buy the vehicle they like and drive it. Some never look under the hood or at the window sticker. The amazing thing to me is that some of the service techs at the dealer know next to nothing about the cars they are working on.

My wife had a Mercedes E350 with the AMG exterior package a couple of years ago. I took it to Mercedes for her for one of her scheduled services and they wanted to charge like $265 to rotate the tires. I told the service writer that you can't rotate the tires because they are staggered. He proceeded to tell me they weren't and that you couldn't get an E350 that was staggered. I finally got him to go look and he didn't even apologize, he just said, "Well we can still rotate them side to side." I told him no thanks, if I want it done I'll take it to Discount tire where they will doit for free.

For the people replying about not knowing everything about how their vehicle works please enlighten us idiots exactly how your flat screen TV, computer and cell phone works. And while you’re at it, how does your microwave work?

You’re kidding, right?
Those are other forums. You’ll have to google that on your own.
Just like you can google “dOeS mah jEeP hAvE aN aUxILLaRy bAtTeRy” or wonder how the battery and connections got stolen… FFS
