Hi y'all,
The "new" (to the JL/JT platform) UConnect 5-based 12.3" system has been out on the '24 JL for a while now; what's the general consensus on reliability/stability, etc.? I know Chrysler has had UConnect 5 out for a couple years, too, but I think the software builds are platform-specific (so crashing/usability bugs in Ram, Pacifica, etc., are not necessarily applicable to the JL/JT).
It seems like UConnect 5 is based on a rather ancient version of Android (8), and I'm wondering how it compares to other manufacturer's Android Automotive offerings. Volvo's AAOS (2.13.3) is based on Android 12, but lacks a lot of customization options and still has weird bugs, crashing, stupid things like "volume controls stop working on steering wheel", etc.
Wondering how JL owners are faring after a year of it being "out in the field".
Thanks!
