Thinking about starting a build journal lol. I did a complete kevlar job on the rig so I don't have to worry about scratches during overlanding trips and maintaining a black Jeep. Added my own custom details and added a few more Jeep "Easter eggs". I missed having the willys jeep on the stock wheels so including the little one on the windshield I incorporated 6 more into the paintjob. Now, to install rock lights and temporary roofrack(waiting for my gobirack to come in).

Installed my Lang Coyote mirrors. Quite pleased with them. Passenger side could have a little longer arm, have to lean a little to see full mirror, but all in all they’re great

Did yours not come with a black knob to release the mirror? On another post I saw your comment on the visibility on the passenger side. Would you say you can see 50% of the mirror? More? Less?

I added the Weathertech mats front and rear, but still waiting on the cargo mat. Rear seems a tad wonky, but may settle down after someone sits in the back a while. Very glad I have them.

It did come with the black knob for quick release. It only threads about halfway in. Didn’t like the look. So went with the smaller flush screw. Will still remove really quick. I’d say I can see 50% without leaning and it doesn’t take much to see full view

Where did you get the blackout hood decal with red trim?
Had it custom done by a vinyl wrap shop here in Phoenix. There aren't aftermarket hood decals for the rubicon hood at this time

Thanks for the reply. Since JLUs are rated to tow up to 3,500 lbs. did you have any issues?
No issues, but I made sure to get a properly sized weight distributing hitch with sway control and adjusted it, made sure to load the camper properly, have electric brakes that work properly etc. Tows at least as well as my mother's '16 grand Cherokee with the same drivetrain.

On my Langes I was able to adjust the passenger side mirror so I could see the entire thing. Perhaps a slight head tilt. ;)

Installed Diode Dynamics switchback LEDs in the fenders. Switches between white and amber when you engage the turn signal. On my Sport S I now have OEM LED fogs that came with my JLUR take off steel bumper, OEM LED headlights - takeoffs - currently no halo, and DD LED switchbacks in the fender.

Today was Day 1 of my new JLUR and the to do list was pretty small given that everything is on order (JCR Offroad front and rear bumpers with spare tire carrier, Warn Zeon winch with Factor 55 Flatlink and rope protector, Rock Slide Engineering drop down steps, Mopar 2 inch lift kit, 37 inch BFG K02's and KMC Rockstar 17 inch wheels and finally a 24 inch Antenna X. I'll be busy over the next month or two just installing.

Today, I took the ends off the steel bumpers that were on the Jeep. I didn't really want steel bumpers but they were on the vehicle I wanted that was in inventory. They will be for sale in a few weeks. I also activated my uConnect system. And then I performed the religious ceremony I perform on every new car.......I removed all the dealer badging and license plate holders.

Tomorrow I'll be getting the drivers and passengers windows tinted along with a small strip of tinting across the top of the windshield.
