Sitting at 91 days now waiting for a scheduled date and D1 status.
I mentioned in an earlier reply in this thread that my employer is now starting to talk about a return to the office for the IT workers (I'm on the cyber side). I'm currently driving a 2007 Honda Accord with almost 200,000 miles on it and put $2,000 repairs in it since ordering my Jeep in late April. The Honda needs to go, it has about $1,200 deferred work that it needs if its going to be driven long term.
I just sent a last ditch email to my salesperson and sales manager asking them to reach out to Jeep for any info. If they can't get any information back from Jeep I'm going to start looking at what's on dealer lots or in transit. I'm finding a few vehicles in transit that meet most of what I'm looking for, but nothing that is an exact match.
Even my wife who is the most patient person I know is encouraging me to see what is out there so we can get the new vehicle.
A lot of what is "in transit" ends up being sold orders that are already going to other people. I've run into that. But I had a friend in Texas that was told that the vehicle couldn't be found and she told them exactly where the Wrangler was on the lot and ended up buying it that day. It's a beautiful 2024 Rubicon. She didn't know how lucky she was at the time, but I've told her and so have a few others.
