I went to production yesterday.
Est delivery was 28 July when I went to D1 so I wasn’t expecting production until then.

I have ordered the twin of yours 06/23. Also schedule as of 06/29. So hopefully mine will be in the same batch as yours as mine doesn't show in production yet.

So I am completely new to this forum and I have never ordered a vehicle before, but my dream Jeep is in Bikini Pearl. I just found out this past weekend that they have brought it back. I attempted to order a Sahara in Bikini Pearl this morning and was told that only Rubicons and 4XE's are available to order. Does this sound right? Have I already missed the very short window to finally get my Bikini Jeep? Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

You could try reaching out to another dealership and see if they say the same thing.

I wish I had a build sheet that was toying with me, lol.

In all seriousness, I e-mailed my salesguy this morning since the trackers all appear to be off, but I have to say...I don't feel valued by him. He never got back to me when the issue was the tow weight 2 weeks ago (even when I told him we were looking at camping trailers) and now I'm just asking for any kind of update on the build. He's never contacted me yet about it other than to say the order was placed on the 19th of June. After placing an order that's 70K or so, I'd have thought he'd be a little more interested. After all, it's an almost guaranteed sale for him.

What are your salespeople like? I suppose they differ across the board.

I feel like you should have moved to scheduled, at least, by now. Should you talk to a different dealership? My sales guy is all right, though he didn’t know a lot. For example, the 35 inch tire automatic with the x package comes with a hinge gate. I also feel they quoted me too high when I see the discounts others are receiving. I am hoping, however, they can make things right with the trade in - I have a fully loaded 2020 Rubicon JL four door with low miles in excellent condition. Again - can you communicate with other dealers?

I'd probably have to cancel it and order somewhere else. Don't think you can transfer the order?

I'd be ok if it wasn't just crickets on his end. I get that these things take time. I e-mailed this morning and he hasn't even responded. Never answered my towing questions...it's been 2 weeks today and his last e-mail said he'd get back to me ASAP about it :D

Hopefully I'll get something from him in the morning about movement. My salesman didn't know much of anything and he'd even said they just had a training session on the new Wrangler's when my husband and popped in an ordered it. Not a very good one by any indication. He didn't mention the hinge gate and I just thought it would come with the package so I didn't add it. I asked about towing (was assured it was 5000lbs, and the rock slides/step). Still don't know about the rock slide/step, but I didn't add that either.

I have a totally clean 2019 V8 Grand Cherokee Overland with 14,500 miles on it as a trade in so I hope they give me what it's worth. I've always gotten what I wanted on trade in because I keep my cars really clean and they always have low miles. Usually salespeople are pretty surprised when they check my trades. This is actually the most mileage I've ever put on a car.

I will also get a family discount on the new order.

He's not going to like the way I answer the customer satisfaction survey. They expect 10's...he's got about a 3 for taking the order.

Well it does sound like a good idea to stick with it if you get a family discount! Maybe just go right to the dealership and bug him in person. Or make him show you on his computer screen what he can see. It seems you are even more valuable if you have a nice trade-in as well.

Sometimes I think to the sales people it’s just a job. I remember ordering my first Jeep and felt as though I knew more than the sales person and wondered why they didn’t know every detail. The the other two I’ve purchased they were on the lot already and the sales person was basically just going through the motions since I had an employee code.

They don’t seem to have the passion and are as invested as we all seem to be.

Well, what do you know, I got a quick response to my case file. The same form letter the rest of you have received. I didn’t expect anything more, but at least someone might be looking at my build behind the scenes. I highly doubt I will hear any more about it, even though the form letter says they will follow up.

In the meantime, I am very happy for all of you that have had some movement and/or received your orders. Please send pics for the rest of us waiting!

As for the rest of us still waiting, come on D1 !!!

I already tried and the answer was no. If you've been issued a VIN the engine selection is locked. Regardless, there is now an apparent shortage of parts for the 2.0s.

I should have gone hybrid ?
Doesn’t the hybrid use the 2.0 as well? ?

For what it’s worth, they did follow up within the window they said they would.

Haha.. yeah that happened to me too. They said like 1-2 days, then they says 14 days or whatever. And THEN they responded again and told me it had been built and is in shipping (but the stupid tracker still says “in production” and it should be here Friday, we’ll see).

But it all has a stupid no-reply address!
