I liked Twin City, because there's an actual history behind it. But Arts and Innovation is also good too. We've always had a strong presence of art in the city, and the UNC School of the arts is here. Innovation because Wake Forest University is pulling in a lot of scientific development here now. Its good because the tobacco jobs will be all but gone soon and we don't want to be a ghost town.

Totally makes sense to recreate something to draw people in. And imo Twin City could be confused with the MN Twin Cities.

Hooray for engineering, still just a touch too complex for a machine to do completely.

That an engineers make the machines to do the work...so they don't like making machines that do THEIR job (well not before they do a lot of other jobs first).

Just got back from McDonalds. The one I went to had 6 ordering kiosks and 3 employees hovering over them "just in case you need help"

Anyone else see the irony that the same people who decry fast food workers for demanding a livable wage (and as such initially cheered on the advent of the kiosks) are the ones who would have the most trouble with said kiosks?

Sorry if that veered a little too much towards politics, but I can't help but see the irony and laugh.

On the kinda good news front, when I was putting away my cholesterol results into my medical folder I found my 2016 results. Back then I was 227 vs 211 this time. I'd say that's a plus considering the shitty way I eat.

I see the irony when I am in line at a store and an employee comes over to convince me to use a kiosk. Really...I'm in line so you have a job and you seem upset I won't use a kiosk...I mean I have had an employee or too seem genuinely aggravated they can't get me to do it.

Like when Walmart busted on the scene and ended the "buy american" era...more to it of course, but they helped.

well I'll further confuse you, because we also form the western part of the Piedmont Triad consisting of Winston-Salem, Greensboro and High Point. Also don't confuse us with the "Triangle" made up of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill an hour east.
