Has anyone used the Tara flex spacer kits and if so what’s you’re experience?

Wanting to run 33’s for some off road driving on my lease. Not wanting to have a full blown lift, plus I’m a little vertically challenged anyway lol and I’m not 20 yrs old any more !!

if anyone has experience with them, let me know your thoughts.

thanks

I have not ran Teraflex on my JL, but I did on my JK and had no issues. They will perform just fine and give a little boost for you. Plenty of people running them. You can also look at getting Rubicon take-offs if you want. You will likely not notice a difference between the 2 and price is negligible as well.

I just purchased Teraflex #1155100, which is just a 1" spacer for the front to level my JLUS with Mopar lift kit. I see no issues in what you are wanting to do.

I have the 1.5” rear/1” front kit on my 2dr Sport for the last 12k miles and all good thru multiple off-road trips. If I had to do it over again I would do the Rubicon shocks and springs instead to get more shock travel. Either will do you well, and I also run 285/70-17 KO2s

33 inch tires will fit fine without any lift.

If you want a spacer lift, I'd go with the Rough Country 2.5. It is half the pricr and is more complete than the entry level Teraflex kits.

So with the 2.5 spacer lift I could run 35’s?

Yes you could run 35s with 2.5'' spacer lift, but your Jeep is not geared to do so. As I went up in tire size, it is when going from 33s (285/70-17) to 34s (305/70r17) that I saw a tremendous impact on gearing and the Jeep wasn't as pleasant to drive anymore and became a source of frustration as it would constantly downshift to hold speed. I tried a throttle controller, and although it did help a little, I still regretted my move. ended up going with 35s and 4.56 gears and am loving it again.

If I was you, I'd just get 3/4 inch spacers front and rear and install 33s.

If you’re doing it yourself I would recommend rubi takeoffs (shocks and springs). Just keep the OEM stuff for turn-in time.
If you don’t plan on moving you might be able to talk to a dealer to have them do it if they would accept it on trade-in (since they did the work it shouldn’t interfere with warranty). I would still keep the originals in case things change come turn-in time.
But as noted, 33’s will fit without anything extra. Ground clearance and extra travel are nice though. Then again, off-roading a lease comes with concerns.

Installed the Teraflex #1155100 (1 inch spacers) on my JLUS two day ago and did a measurement before and after. The front lift is exactly as advertised 1 inch. Will update if it settles in the future. BTW, steering will be slightly off center and will require the typical draglink adjustment to re-center.

Spacers do not settle.
