Anyone have any reviews of the OME lift kit or BP-51’s? Really considering this kit but hard to find reviews on JL’s.
I am super happy with my Old Man Emu BP-51s. Sorry that's not much of a review. What can I say they are great!

Has anyone had issues with the BP51's being noisy when they are cold. I Have a set in my JL Rubicon, and anything below 10 degrees and it sounds like something is lose. If I take them out and put my Fox shocks back in the noise totally goes away. It also seems to be a lot firmer when cold. The rears have been replaced by OME already, but the problem persists.

I haven't experienced that. I'll keep an eye or ear on them as temps get colder.

I know this thread is a bit old now, but I just got some BP-51s installed on my new 2022 Wrangler. I have a sport unlimited so the kit gave me a huge lift. It feels like it’s bigger than the 3 inches advertised.

I have t had a chance to take it off-road yet but on road it rides pretty nice, but most importantly it looks GOOD ?.

I’m currently running them on the factory compression and rebound settings, but I plan to put them both on the softer side until I start adding weight.

I like your Jeep! I have the same wheels. I really wanted those shocks too but they were over my budget given other priorities. So awesome. I also like your color. If you only had half doors and a Rubicon I would be really jealous. Looks great.

Just ordered this kit for my new 2023 JLUR. I noticed that the kit only comes with adjustable front lower control arms. Isn't an adjustable rear lower control arm also needed for correct/ideal rear end pinion angle adjustment? Furthermore, don't you need adjustable upper control arms both front and rear so that the stock wheelbase is maintained? It looks like (from a theoretical point of view), with stock upper control arms the axles would have to come closer to each other (shortening the wheelbase - may be insignificant ?).

I checked the JL section of the ARB catalog and it says that their adjustable rear control arms (both upper and lower) and their front upper arms are not needed but recommended for this suspension lift kit.

Lastly, their catalog lists the "JK" model number for the rear control arms (LCAJKRR and UCAJKRR) for the JL. I wonder if the JK parts fit the JL as well or if there is a mistake. They don't seem to have any "JL" model numbers for the rear arms. I asked ARB support but have not received a reply from them in over a week.

thanks for all the compliments!I really love these wheels too, can’t stop staring at them. Wish I had half doors and a rubicon too!

I had all the same questions you do when it came to correcting the factory angles. I personally wondered (and still do) why a kit of this price wouldn’t come with all 8 control arms. I ultimately decided that I hope ARB knows what they are doing and wouldn’t sell a kit like this unless they truest felt they weren’t needed.

my install guy didn’t say anything was off after the lift, and visually everything looks ok. I plan on eventually replacing the other 6 control arms at some point so am not too worried.
I also noticed that some of the parts in my kit were labeled JK while others JL. The kit ended up going on fine, but my kits SKU was designed for the JL.

Excited for you to get it installed, I absolutely love mine.

I went ahead and ordered the remaining three pairs of ARB arms as well to get the full set. I called ARB headquarters in Australia to make sure the "JK" rear arms fit the JL as well and they got back to me saying "yes, the JK part numbers for the rear arms are the correct ones for the JL Wrangler as well".

Did you consider attaching the reservoirs for the rear shocks to the wheel wells like in the front? Or is there no room left for them in the rear wells?

Having everything installed this weekend. Crossing my fingers.

I’m not sure if that’s possible given the mounting and hose angles, but if it is I might do it next time I’m getting something installed. Love the look of the front ones.

Kings and Fox shocks are crazy stiff, I put a set of the fox elite dual speed adjustable shocks on my JL and it was crappy on the road, took em off and tried kings and it was even worse. Im looking at these and hope it solves my on/off road medium. unless you are ripping across the desert I would avoid the pricy fox & Kings. I think the ARB shocks can be adjusted softer for HWY and adjusted for the trail.. theres a lot of info out there that these shocks have a high failure rate though.

I am seriously considering the OME BP-51 for an Unlimited Rubicon. I wanted the 3.5” Clayton Off-road lift kit, but it looks like I may have to do the 2.5” Clayton Off-road lift kit. Both kits actually run higher and my Jeep will be very light (still being built). I wonder if I will have issues even with the 2.5” lift? So is the 3.5” kit out of the question?
G'day, just wondering if you went this route? I'm looking at the Clayton 2.5" Overland+ with BP51's
