Installed my winch today. I learned a few things.

1. Rusty's winch plate does not come with instructions.
2. Smittybilt winches have worthless instructions.
2a. Winches are freakin HEAVY!
3. To install a Factor 55 Flatlink, you have to cut off the old hook.

Things I would have loved to know beforehand. Maybe tomorrow I'll have the energy to put the bumper back on

If it makes you feel any better, we put a warn in before they had the JL fix. We now have To take it all apart again to make the free spool work with the fix.

Haha it’s all good! Sometimes I catch myself cause my other two cars were girls. Felt like my Wrangler needed a guy name probably because I grew up in the Boy Scouts and I’m just used to going camping with the boys.

Awww.... I get it because I had my beloved Chuck. He was my baby. I still mourn him, which sounds silly but, he was my boy. I had him since birth. I saved him when he was born blue, cold, and not breathing 4 hours after the others. I gave him mouth-to-mouth and rubbed him until he started moving. It took three days for him to recover. So, I get it
