I've not purchased seat covers in several years. The last vehicle I did have them in, the seat fabric still looked new after several years.

Since I ordered cloth seats, I plan on getting some covers to protect the fabric. Quality and multiple design options are the top factors, in choosing the right product, for me. My question is, what brand/s do you recommend??

Another vote for Bartact, though when I bought my last set they were branded under TrekArmor. Great covers. Seats looked brand new underneath when I traded in, I'll be ordering new covers for my JL soon, just need to spread out the pain on the credit card...

I went with the tactical style the first time and will again for my JL. They just look more "Jeep" like and are very useful.

Here's a handful of pictures of my Bartact front milspec covers. The back seat has a dog cover on it.
Which dog cover do you have on the back? I need something while I wait for Bartact to come out with the rear covers. Also, how does that dog cover handle with the wind running doorless?

4Knines Dog Seat Cover without Hammock

It flaps around a little but isn't terrible. At the seat crease the cover has two plastic tube handles that you are supposed to shove between the seat seam. You can grab them from behind the seat and pull them in to force the cover into the crease a bit. Helps prevent lifting and movement. Not perfect, but it isn't bad.

Those look great. Not cheap but Bartact makes nice stuff. How hard were they to install and how is the fit?

Any experience with them getting wet? If so, did it take long for them to dry out? Any wet, musty/moldy smell? Did they go over cloth or leather original seats?

They never got a soaking, but they had wet swimsuits and light rain exposure a few times. Never had any musty smells or issues with them drying out. I had them over the original cloth seats which looked as good as new when I took the covers off to trade my JK in.
