Last I heard, this is his busy season and he will try to stop by when he is able.
Okay, good, I wasn't sure if anything bad happened.

I didn't read the part of 83 days !!!!
Ive heard of others re-ordering after that amount of time lapse in the same status ...holy shit ...something screwy in st Louie there !
whats your dealership saying ?...Im surprised they haven't slammed the foot down on this so they can close the sale .
Cancel that order ......it sounds like its lost in paperwork or something
tell your salesman that we are beyond the time frame given and you either need to re-order or refund any deposit .
Also: after months and months of hearing about the premium soft top issues and you do decide to re-order just get the standard soft top and then order the premium after you get your jeep
thats way to long in D status !!
Dan, no issues dude. I didn't include that in my first post on this matter. (I thought I had that information in my signature line...but didn't...until now.) Funny thing about that...the dealership can't seem to get any information either. In fact, one of the times I asked them to talk to the Area Rep...the quote I got back was..."it will get built when it is built". As far as I can tell, the dealership hasn't cashed my deposit check yet (I have looked several times) and as far as re-ordering...well...I have a VIN and will just ride it out. According to my dealer, since I have a 2018 VIN, it will be built as a 2018 model (probably more awesome information from the Rep...)

This whole experience has definitely dampened my enthusiasm for my JL...I have made the mistake of driving a 4-door Rubicon a 1 1/2 weeks ago...it was a manual (like mine) and had the upgraded audio (like mine) but didn't really pay attention to too many more options installed on it. (I doubt it is just like mine but with 2 extra doors.) I wanted to know how the manual Rubicon drove and I was duly impressed. I had driven a manual Sport before I ordered but it wasn't the same. Doing that doesn't make having to wait for mine any easier...but I wanted to know...and now I do. Now...it is the long haul for me. I will get my JL...when it is built and delivered...I just hate to wait...and in my line of work (Electrical Engineer at an OEM Supplier), not providing a delivery date is akin to suicide. I can't, for the life of me, understand why FCA can't tell me when my JL will be built. This is taking "just in time" manufacturing to new levels. LOL

To make matters worse (and unfortunately I have to take the blame for this one...) I have gotten rid of my car with AC and now have my motorcycle or 2000 TJ (both without AC) to drive and we are seeing temps in the 90s already in St. Louis. Nothing like a pissy 275lb hot (heat not looks) biker complaining about things...huh?

Ok...enough ranting...back to the regularly scheduled program.

I'm back boy and girls. The tour of facility #2 was very nice. They only have 14 beds and it is new. Each room is private and you provide your own furniture. So it would work too. The guy kept telling me how great it was to meet me and he understood what I was going thru. Also said there are many dudes in the same boat. Their application is online so I'll be doing that and getting our name on the wait list.
