Joe - what they are saying is they have received your order but they are not ready to gather up all the inventory ( parts ) to place your jeep next in line to go to assembly due to the amount of jeeps to be built before you .

The good news is that they have recognized your order , the not so good news is your in a holding pattern

This new model took everybody by storm and I dont think they were expecting it ! March -built 28k jeeps & April they built 27k jeeps which was way more than they built last year

" I stopped checking because it was only effecting me no matter how huffy I got with them so I walked away for almost three weeks before I checked again "
Dan,
I have been in "D" status pretty much since I ordered on Feb 21st...83 days and counting...I was only venting my frustration over the lack of information. i pretty much figured that my current status was still "D"...but was hoping that I didn't read it correct and was now in "D1". I have been following the issues and delays and everything else going on with this "new" release...I am just ready for my JL to get here already.

Sorry if my typing sounds "angry"...HA...you should hear it from my side...I don't think my poor keyboard will ever be the same...but as I closed my Email back to Jeep Information Center...I am a Seriously Frustrated Customer who is just looking for freak'n answers....

WIN WIN

I didnt want the insult for trade in on my truck so I kept it
Honestly I was frustrated with the amount I got for it in the end. The Nissan Dealer offered me $11,000 for a Trade on a Titan XD, but my wife told me no and she manages the finances so I took her word. For the JL purchace a few months later we got $7,000 for that Ram.

But this isn't the TITAN Humor Waiting Room, I would have missed out on a lot of fun if we went that route.

Crazy and Sean, you can also give your retained trade in to a local hospital and take a charitable deduction. A least you used to be able to. I will refer to Crazy's opinion on that.

Simliar here. When I found mine on the lot, and I assumed it would take months to get one if ordered, the dealer had us. :involve:
No trade in argument. We'll keep the rusty thing too.
I wish I could keep the WJ...but one vehicle is enough to worry about here, let alone two.

Went private sale, because no dealer would touch a 14 y/o SUV. Buyer has been awesome, letting me hang onto it until the JL gets here.

I didn't read the part of 83 days !!!!

Ive heard of others re-ordering after that amount of time lapse in the same status ...holy shit ...something screwy in st Louie there !

whats your dealership saying ?...Im surprised they haven't slammed the foot down on this so they can close the sale .

Cancel that order ......it sounds like its lost in paperwork or something

tell your salesman that we are beyond the time frame given and you either need to re-order or refund any deposit .

Also: after months and months of hearing about the premium soft top issues and you do decide to re-order just get the standard soft top and then order the premium after you get your jeep

thats way to long in D status !!

Yes! There are still many organizations that take used vehicles and you would be able to deduct the fair market value of it (assuming you can itemize.)

I know Akron Children's Hospital is always looking for vehicle for families of children who need extended care. Was just a thought.

Would have been nice to know, but I went through with the trade instead of keeping it. Otherwise I'd still have to pay the insurance and registration on it (both expensive) in addition to the new Jeep. And on top of that, get that blasted Mercedes 5 speed fixed.

For anyone that is curious, such as myself. I checked the member directory and @The Great Grape Ape hasn't been on JLWF since April 27th. Sure hope he's OK.
Last I heard, this is his busy season and he will try to stop by when he is able.
