Especially, while stuck at different points: D – gathering parts, for example, how often did you watch them building wranglers? Link to the Toledo Wrangler build process video.

For me it is more calming than talking with Jeep Chat or my sales person. How many times did you watch it? (I am still counting. Already more than a dozen since late August)

The Jeep will get to you in its own time. Nothing you can do about it.

I watched that video innumerable times in the 7 months I waited for my Claymore to be built.

It is all good, it is all good. I think what has me unsettled is being stuck in paint for nearly 3 weeks with no status change. Stuck in D, or D1; or at the end waiting for shipping is one thing. Stuck in paint? That seems odd to me–

What color did you order. The less common colors will wait, as the robots have to be cleaned out and the vats changed to load those colors.

With a white top and fenders? If so the hold could be from the outside vendors for those parts.

Here’s some inspiration. But with a black top and fenders. Don’t forget to check out the Bright White tread too.

Perhaps, though why not in D - gathering parts?

6 October F paint
25 September D1 gateline
23 August VIN
18 August Ordered

All correspondence since 6 October has the status as either F – paint or in the paint process. No suggestion of regression to D or waiting for parts. Just stuck in paint.

The thought that it is awaiting parts, and flares and top are body color is a logical suggestion. The tops and flares aren't painted together, and oddly the side doors are, though then are removed for trim and reinstalled later.

Part of this is fun to try and stoically work through, it is too easy to think the worst. As I have learned over the years, it is all good–

What a solid ride you have. The Willys history and mojo are awesome. Congratulations. I have been enjoying the Bright White Thread. It is interesting how varied 'vanilla' can be. I love white Jeeps–

I had a talk with a friend a few years ago about paint color. He was going to build a hot rod and was trying to choose a wild color for it. I advised that he should consider a sedate color and he was curious why. I told him the older, fat fat fendered cars are already rare and different than anything else on the road. It will get a lot of attention. Putting crazy, bright or candy paint on it, in my opinion was too much. He saw my point, but never built the car.

Jeeps look like nothing else. They don’t get confused with anything else. A Bronco my get called a Jeep, but a Jeep will never get called a Bronco. Anyway, the bright colors are fun and all, but a Jeep doesn’t need a bight color to stand out from the ocean of jelly bean shaped CUVs out there.

Besides, white is the brightest color (or absence of color) there is, right?

Right. We should get a discount on our insurance compared to sting gray, too–

Interesting Video. Thanks for sharing. But I couldn't help but notice that the video doesn't show the rust-proofing (RP) process OR the front suspension assembly station!!!! I smell a coverup!!!! With all the loose bolts we have and the paint corrosion issues, you would think the Jeep PR team would want to showcase how "awesome" of a job the factory does but they have decided to hide the truth from us! lol
