Rear window fluid dripping

A simple fix would be to have a better washer fluid than the factory/dealer fill cheapo stuff. Once I'm low on that fill I'm going to go for a better fluid. I don't think theres going to be any workaround with how the spray nozzle drips after you spray washer fluid, no matter how much you paid for your Jeep.

So you are suggesting a washer fluid with higher viscosity? This would mean less alcohol content or maybe adding a solute to the washer fluid to increase viscosity? I wonder what can be added that won't harm the system. Salt and Sugar probably not a good idea. Adding some Guinness should do the trick.

Or maybe the system is pressurized too high.

More like a fluid that doesn't leave "Hard Water Stains" when it drips out after a spray.

Maybe there is an imbalance between pump pressure and nozzle opening, causing the fluid after the pump to remain under pressure after the pump is turned off?

Could it be the design of the coil tube inside the window has something to do with it? I'm not familiar if the JK has the same problem.

Just a theory. I'm certainly no engineer.

Theres plenty of tube in-between the pump and the nozzle and that will account for a good drip after you spray. As far as a continuous drip afterwards I'm not sure what the cause is for whomever is suffering that issue.

Mine didn't start till after I had unplugged the fluid line for the first time. Now it is intermittent.

Yeap mine just stared doing this as well as soon as the temp went up to spring like weather. Fresh dripping after I come out from work without having used it at all that day. I want to say it has to do with pressure because of the heat but if feels like this should have been caught before they released the Jeeps into the wild.

I get get it's a jeep but having just spent this kind of money I'd expect at least some things to work as they should....

That being said, I wonder if the system has to be bled like if you install the water line on a new fridge. You uauay have to out like 5 gallons of water through the system in a fridge to make sure it has no air in it and doesn't drip.

I squeezed the tube right behidn the nozzle and some accessories fluid came out and then seemed to stop so I'm also really thinking it's expansion caused by heat in the tube that's part of the hard top due to weather. Not sure how this would be addressed.

Will keep an eye on it before going back to the dealer.

Who would have thought about all the engineering considerations needed to design something as simple as a window washer to work properly? Pressure, molarity, viscosity, temperature, materials.

I remember my old VW bugs used air pressure from the spare tire. Damn German engineering.

I dropped by the local Jeep store yesterday to kill some time and 8 of the 11 hard tops on the lot had the leak. It is not a fatal flaw but it is very annoying for those who want to keep the Jeep looking clean.

Mine does this too. Not sure why. I've used the rear sprayer twice but constantly have a dried line from fluid leaking.
