Tried what? Your link goes nowhere.
@RoadiJeff

He probably was talking about “Carsifi” or “AAWireless”. Do a Google search using these names.
My eye is on “Carsifi” which hopefully will be avail. at the very end of this year.

@MikeJLURubi

Good chance "Carsifi", will be the pick of the litter so to speak. For one reason it has a much smaller footprint ... Time will tell...

What the main reason you are looking at Carsifi, if I may ask? And do you know when it will be available?

Thanks

I have the AAWireless in my Fusion Energi and it works great. Once my JLR arrives it will be going in it.

It did take a while for it to ship but it was worth the wait.

I have the AAwireless in my JLUR. I got lucky ordering it early. Looks like they have some big delays now trying to get parts.
Works well as long as you use the start stop feature to turn it off when the Jeep shuts off.
Downside is having two phones connected to it. By myself works great, my partner by herself works great. Both of us in the Jeep, forget it. Just fights itself, turning on and off, switching between phones.

AAwireless just sent out an update today:

A bit of good news

Hi all.

Finally a bit of good news, we have received 16K CPU+WiFi modules so we are planning the production now with the factory. This quantity will suffice to fulfill all backers who had June and July estimated delivery dates.

While the CPU shortage seems to be resolved for now, we continue to face shortages of WiFi chips. Lead time for orders on WiFi chips are anywhere between 3 month to 12 months or even more, making it very difficult to plan the production. Based on all the information we have now and the amount of orders we have for October, we are worried about the October deadline for the gen 2 units; therefore we are going to close them and create a new perk for January.

One of the options we have to reduce the impact of shortages is to use different layouts of the board with different WiFi chips. While we already planned to have the gen 2 board designed to support 2 different WiFi chips, this might not be enough in the current stage of the crisis. So, we are preparing to support a third WiFi chip. This new chip supports WiFi 6 and is phenomenal overkill for our product, but this chip is available in far larger quantities. Using 3 different hardware layouts will mean additional development and hardware costs, plus we will need to submit each version for FCC and CE approvals, which again has time and cost implications. Therefore, we sadly have to increase the price a bit.

We are doing our very best to have the October devices delivered on time,. We will do everything we can, but it's getting tighter and tighter again.

As always our refund policy remains the same. If you do not wish to wait , you can ask for a refund at any given time up to the point where we have shipped out the product to you.

Doesn't it use wifi and kill your phone battery??
