Thanks for the info for installation, nothing included when I opened it today.
Just need a JLU to install in on. Waiting not so patiently these days!

Installed the JLKini ...couldn’t find anything online, so here’s a few rough instructions with some pics ....

Unscrewed the 4 bolts and leaned the windshield forward a little
Installed the provided silver “nubs” on the side of the roll bars. The one over the back seat goes on the SECOND screw back

Tuck the back corner loops over the top of the sound bar, reach over the top of the sound bar from behind while sitting in the back seat, pull bungee loops through and hook around back silver nub.

Hook the bungees on the side roll bar nubs

Hook front bungees to inner windshield fram with attached bungee hooks

Put windshield back to normal position, put screws back in :)

Thanks for this info and it looks great... Do the hooks that go behind the windshield affect the seal or closure of the windshield? Asking since some people have been complaining of wind noise with the hardtop/windshield on a stock JU.

Not at all. When I was done installing front hooks/bungee cord, I just laid the windshield back in place, tightened the screws, all good. I haven’t had the freedom panels back on since installing the shade, but the windshield went back into place as flush as when I started. The wind noise on the highway was the same as if I had no shade installed, and simply the freedom panels off.

My first JK in 2009 had the hard top, leaked like a sieve - I changed out about 2mnths after I bought it, never went back to a hard top in fact never have run a premium soft top just the basic. Once you get used to a little bit more exterior noise you won’t switch back. I have never had any soft top problems and since I expect a little more road noise you don’t worry about wind noise, so far none of my soft tops have leaked near as bad as my only hard top.
I’ve been driving around safari style for a couple days and i don’t even mind that wind noise with the awesome sound system lol

Ok so I just got the Lange hoist delivered... some of you were wondering if it would work on the JL because of the hook that goes in the back of the hard top... well I’m happy to report that they did change that hook... here’s a picture... I’m still putting the hoist together and will post more pictures..

Oops, sorry, wasn’t sure...! Didn’t mean to make it sound cheap, but I know lots of people do it, or even to try first... how much did it cost you ?
No worries, didn't even take that way! Powder Coat was $675. Would have done Plasti Dip (love that stuff) but didn't want to have to re-apply, ever. I actually sprayed the lugs with it as a hold over until I got the Mickey Thompson's put on, when I also swapped out for black lugs.

Removed the hideous warning labels on my visors. Couldn't stand seeing the bright white/yellow labels while driving. Simply took a blow dryer and warmed each up, peeled from the corner, and the whole label came right off rather easily.
