Awesome rig!!

I'm on a similar journey having recently ordered a 2024 392 and currently have a 2021 JLUR 6-speed. (sig has the dets)

Trading in for exact same reasons ypu mentioned. Can't wait!

Will you be adding skidplates? think I saw NVM doff covers in one of the pics

Thanks! You will love the 392 (and AT) so much more than the 3.6 MT. And my insurance only went up $50/month!

I have NVM diff covers and rear diff skid. Shop couldn't get front diff skid to fit w 392 / my set up. Might look to customize it. They were pulled off my old Jeep.

I'm not going to do full belly pans, etc. In the midwest we have more trees than rocks and I've heard the pans trap mud and salt in winter and can accelerate corrosion if you don't take them off and wash. I don't feel like going that route..

That small jump in insurance is icing on the cake:clap:

Interesting on the diff skid not fitting the front, I've heard their might be changes with the rear full float axle as well that may affect diff, LCA coverage. I'll def find out!

Good point about rocks, trees and corrosion, I live in the north east and have the same situation as you.

Main concern is how low the oil pan is and the rear exhaust.

The newer 392's have a steel oil pan (vs aluminum) so that may help. But still a good point and may be worth checking out!

Have you had any issues with the JL clutch 6 speed? Mine is awful. Looking to replace it asap

When stock, it was passable on the street. but as I offroad some pretty r9ckybtrails the stock clutch left a lot to be desired. so I put a CFII clutch in it with the heavier flywheel. Literally made it a different driving experience.

All of a sudden I have low end torque and hard to stall.

Do replace your clutch ASAP, mine exploded and destroyed my transmission & Stellantis is still refusing responsibility for the damage telling me that the clutch is a wearable item so therefore they're not responsible for the damage done. I'm currently trying to find a mechanic who will replace the transmission and install either a Centerforce or an ACT clutch on my own dime. It's been a nightmare. Several mechanics are refusing to deal with it. The last one had it for 2 months only to call me and tell me that he didn't want to deal with it. I can't begin to tell you how many mechanics don't want to deal with it! Starting next week I have to resume my search for a mechanic who will take this on and fix it for me. I just want to drive my baby again!
