Our 392 is in!

Jeep Wrangler JL Clayton Off Road's New JL 392! (Build and Products) 20210610_101218-2

The hype is real, this thing is everything a Jeep lover could ever hope for and more! Soon we'll be using this thread to document our 392 build, as well as announce any suspension products or packages we put together for this beast! For now, we were thinking it would be cool to show you guys all of the little changes and additions Jeep has made we've been able to find so far that maybe you have or haven't seen mentioned before. Let us know what you think of all of these changes, and what you guys want to see us do with our build and future products!

No more aluminum knuckles or standard U Joints! Instead you'll find stronger steel knuckles and CV axles.

The oil pan has been switched from steel to aluminum! It also appears to be slightly larger and hangs down quite a bit lower than before.

The electronic axle disconnect previously found on standard Rubicon models has now been removed.

Full time 4WD!

Bump stop pads have now been made slightly taller, due to the taller suspension set-up this Jeep comes with from the factory.

The Engine STOP/START system, everybody's favorite feature to turn off, has been completely removed from the 392, with a performance exhaust toggle replacing the on/off button on the dash.

The factory wheels really are bead-lock capable! Just remove the factory rash ring. You will also need to purchase a new Mopar bead-lock ring in it's place.

How's the build coming along? What's your opinion on the full-time transfer case? I'm considering getting the full-time on a JLURXR but I don't know what to expect as far as durability and function is concerned. The fact that it's the only option for the 392 has to be a good sign.

I question why they went to the cv axle joint on the axle. yes its strong but for people who do more then rock crawl, like mudding or woods trails I can see that are collecting debris and tearing. normally cv axle fronts have a lot more space around them to let debris pass through.

Any plans to develop steering components such as tie rods and drag links?

I'm not concerned with the CV'S, worst case they can be replaced with RCV's. I'm wondering how durable and reliable the transfer case will be.
