I ordered the Step Sliders for my JLU back in December and still waiting on those. My wife wants to see them installed on mine before deciding if she wants to order them for her JT as well.

Those look like rock sliders for the rock sliders. Why are you keeping the stock rocker protection? As someone who has wheeled small tired XJ's for years, ground clearance can make or break you on an obstacle. The breakover on the JL and JT are pretty sad out of the box to begin with and this looks to take away from that. It looks well made, are you planning on a non rock rail version?

This works with and without the factory rails, it is still over 4" above the lowest frame point on the Jeep. Does not change breakover angle at all. Well above those points.

Sardaukar-can you please post some pics after you install them? I have a JLUR on order and am thinking of adding the Step Sliders when it comes in so my wife is able to get in it. Thanks!!

Sure. But it might not be until tomorrow when it is supposed to warm up to a whopping 15 degrees. I will definitely be putting some space heaters in the garage.

I managed to get one side done today. Those body bolts were a pain to remove. Thanks to daggo66 on the wrangler form (from 2012) with a suggestion of prying downward with a flat tip screw driver as you turn the bolt. That worked like a charm.

And special thanks to Adam from GOAT Fabrication for taking time out of his day to personally help me over the phone with an issue I was having getting the front bolt back in right.

Here are some pictures of driver's side. I'll get to the other side on later (maybe Tuesday?). It's cold out there.

Adam and Goat Fabrication is fantastic to work with.
