Have you checked out any local dealers or online marketplaces specific to Texas? Sometimes you can find great deals close to home. If not, you can get mine, but you might need to pay for shipping. let me know if that works for you.

Not sure how far a ride but if you could pull it off it would be great.
No painting, no shipping, etc.
I drove 16 hours to get my Firecracker Red half doors, 2 door.
8 hours there then 8 back, I had someone else with me.
In the end totally worth it.
