Haven't had one since the late '70s... Back when I had one, we were still required to have a FCC license to operate them. Back then, we would put the 1/4 wave whip antennas on our cars and trucks. Yep, 102" / 8.5 ft... We didn't have garages that we were concerned about being able to get into back then.
