If I was a betting man, I’d say the fitnent guide is wrong, and they are simply deleting vehicles from the list as people send in complaints, instead of doing proper R&D. Dorman is not a high quality company.
What do you mean?? I've never had problems with there freeze plugs.. lol

I do know what you are saying. I've bought aftermarket cast parts before that were twisted, distorted out of the box. I'd have to buy it locally so I could pull it from the box and see it.

I do like that they offer the whole package now, including a new cooler.

You gotta watch a video? Can’t figure out litebrite eh? You watching those while your shop installs a light bar above your window?

I replace those housing pretty often as that motor is used in lots of FCA vehicles. I can tell you that the V in the engine can hold lots of fluid before it starts to become visible from under the car. With the angle of the Jeep engine, it's not as much as something like a minivan.

I have seen the Dorman unit but then it was recalled and not available for a while (so there was probably an issue). This just like the Toyota oil filter caps that crack. The first aluminum Dorman ones did not work. Now the latest one is much better and a much better replacement as compared to the Toyota OEM unit.

People cranking down on filter housings is nothing new. You don't need to tighten the pulp out of it. Same thing can be said for spin on filters. If it's easy to access, people tighten them down way too much. Yet if it's in a difficult position, they are hand tight requiring no tool to remove.

Just wait until people have to change the oil on their new Broncos. That filter is hidden way up in there and when you spin it off you better be prepared to have the drain pan way behind it as there is where the oil drains.

I had a new dorman cap for a Sequoia the other day, that the entire seating surface for the O-ring was not machined. Leaked like a sieve.

No oil has returned in front of the oil filter housing yet. It’s been 3 days ?
