You might be able to just remove the top snap clips and pull the grill out enough to get your wiring installed. That's what I did to install new headlights and some grill markers, much easier than removing my winch. There was a pretty good space to work as my grill was angled out. Just put a thin towell at the bottom of the grill so you won't mark it up as you bend it out.
I had it apart to do the gladiator grill mesh swap a couple like this ago and I swore that was the last time I’d be in there lol

We offer a Heated Lens LED Headlight which provides high quality LED light output and increased nighttime visibility with the added feature of a heated lens to prevent frosting and ice build up which is a common problem experienced due to the shape of the Jeep JL headlight lens and grill structure around it.

When you say increased light output, how do they compare to the oem led units? Are yours typically meant to replace the halogen units and be “error free” when replacing them? how does that affect Jeeps that had oem led’s? Any coding changes needed? Also, can the halo’s be turned off or disabled on yours? Thanks

Are these 9 inches specifically made for the JL/JT? Or just the 7 inch JK refurbished into "JL/JT" lights like most other brands do?

The solution is cheap and simple. Just add a set of halogen driving light to the front bumper, kind of like this(though these are LED). I ordered my 21 JLUR with standard halogens for the very reason being discussed in this thread. My 20 JLUR had LED main lights and they were great for everything except snowy winter driving. My current stock halogen are mediocre so I added LED driving lights for when better night driving dictates the need.

I have found the mixed lighting type approach works best form me.

first off wranglers has the recessed headlight since the yj models. i see the concern of the snow build up. but in reality just about all of the auto headlight will collect up snow and ice. so it is what it is. i'm in ny and have to deal with it. its part of the deal. same goes with the window. the defroster is not going to clear all the windows. so from time to time you have to get out and clear the windows. while you're at it clear the headlights. lets not forget to clean off the taillight too. most people dont even clean them off.

on another note. jeep havent came out in fixing this since the yj days. i'm not looking for a fix in the future. and if it did, i'm not getting it because its just another add price and another problem to be delt with. i'm not the bells and whistles type of guy. dont need it or want it.

Just ask @cosine he knows!

Oracles are 9" and as far as aftermarket options they have some of the best output you can find. I have a similar 9" light from Rough Country, the same basic lighting setup as the Oracles and the cutoff and light spread is very good, they don't have heating elements though.
