Thank you for the comprehensive and detailed response. Very informative and helpful. Did you forsee any potential issues with the center opening of each of these wheels mounting over the spare tire/rear back up camera stalk?
Happy to help! I am nervous about the camera to be honest. That’s just so tough to test without having the jeep to actually take a look. So... my fingers are just crossed - lol.

I did!

I went with option K - the SCS K5.

I would LOVE to post pictures, however I still don’t have my Jeep, lol. I’m a turbo orderer, and none of them have been delivered to customers, yet.

At this point, I’m leaning towards bailing on the 2018 and going for a 2019.

I have 5 of these SCS K5 wheels in my basement, waiting for 37x13.5r17 Ridge Grapplers to go on them.

I can give some feedback on the other options I looked at, though!

Options A and B are the ATX Ravine, and those wheels are really cool. Great price and the finish was very nice. The biggest thing I didn’t like about them was the bolts on the simulated beadlock, they have a gold finish and looked a bit gaudy to me. I like those wheels enough to have considered swapping out the bolts, but in the end decided that I like the straighter lines of the K5 more.

Option C is the Pro Comp Predator. This actually ended up as the top competitor to the K5. IIRC, the Predator was a cost effective option. I took these out to actually do a color comparison next to a Granite, and they were decent but the K5 was a better color match. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the aesthetics of the center cap on these.

Option I is the Icon Rebound. Possibly my favorite wheels out of all of the options. I did not get them out to look at next to a Granite to do a color comparison, simply because I decided I like the look of a 5 spoke wheel on Wranglers, and the Rebound didn’t quite feel right to me. It really is and was one of my favorite wheels, but I think a 5 spoke just looks a bit “tougher” on a Wrangler.

Option K is the SCS (Stealth Custom Series) K5. SCS is run out of California and the wheel is made in Thailand. It’s a 17x8.5 wheel. The finish is great on it. It’s a consistent finish with a bit of texture to it, and it looks great as light hits it. Very unique. One of the 5 wheels I received had minute imperfections - I was almost embarrassed to bring it up for how small they were - but the owner paid to ship the wheel back to Cali and send a replacement out to me in OH, free of charge. They also threw in a pack of their lugs and some stickers for me. The color match to Granite was super, super close in person, though as I mentioned, I still do not have them mounted yet.

Last up was the Method Con6. Up until the point of opening the box, I thought this might be the one. When I opened the box, I immediately decided it wasn’t right. Just didn’t love the finish and lines of it - a bit too glossy and shiny for me, but it was just a stylistic preference for me.

Here are some starter pics - none of the ones mounted or on vehicles are my photos. The ones unmounted are all photos I took.

Did you happen to weigh each of these wheels when you had one of each in your possession? Pro Comp lists their Predator wheel (option C) as weighing 35 lbs. which seems heavy.

I did not, I'm sorry - I just weighed the K5 since it was my final pick.

Did you get your Jeep yet? How much did the K5 weigh?

Still no Jeep :( Probably just waiting for a 2019 at this point.

IIRC, they were 28.2 lbs - but that is just off the top of my head. If you're interested in a confirmed/accurate number, let me know and I can re-weigh one for you.

Sorry to hear about the delay in getting your Jeep. This wheel decision making is driving me crazy. I change my mind everyday, lol! Your research has definitely helped. Like you, I didn't like the ATX because of the gold faux bolts. I do like the ones you chose amongst a few others.

Thanks!

Note on the gold bolts - they *are* removable, so if that’s the only thing you don’t like, you could swap them out or even paint them.

The gold faux bolts are removable? Interesting, this news puts the Ravines at the top of the list again. You wouldn't have possibly weighed one have you?

I'm sorry, I did not weigh that one.

But yes - the gold bolts were removable :)

They are zinc coated which gives them a cool sheen, but I also was not a fan of the gold - so I removed one to see if it would work, thinking I would consider removing them all and replacing with a darker color (or even just plasti-dipping the tips of the gold ones....). It would be doable.

Thanks for the quick reply! So they are metal bolts or plastic?

Thanks for all the high resolution pics in this thread! Waiting on delivery of a 2019 JLUR and I've been researching wheels like crazy. I had almost settled on the Pro Comp Predators but I hadn't come across the SCS K5s until this thread. Have to agree with your choice, they look sick! Love the 5 spokes, simulated bead lock, and clean lines, def going with the K5s too
