Hi- Found some info on TI's website (http://www.ti.com/solution/media_interface) says USB Host Flip is also called USB On-The-Go. USB OTG is described as a protocol that lets a device acts as either a host or as a slave. I'd assume in this case it refers to the head unit being capable of reading from a flash drive (Master mode), or running Apple CarPlay (slave mode?). Odd for a protocol to be listed as a standard feature, as it doesn't really seem the driver has control of this. probably just indicating the head unit can read media from a USB flash drive..
These are the "Sales codes" that are flashed in a Jeep's PCM at the factory for the Technology Group package. Some owners "upgrading" uconnect radios. from 5" to 7" or maybe even 8" are saying they can't use carplay from the console may need USB HOST FLIP (RF7) turned on?
