What Build Types?

So I'll start that i'm new to the Jeep Community. I'm not new to automotive building though. I'm going from the Go Fast scene to be a bit more adventurous than what the straight line road has to offer me.

I'm finding a hard time trying to find information on build types.
For example, I have no real idea what the difference is between a Rock Crawler and an Overland setup, or what other types of purpose driven builds are out there.

to answer the question of "what do you want to do with your jeep?", the answer do something fun where I'm going while keeping in mind it has to come back home and be my daily driver. it's also a SportS and not a Rubicon. So no Double Sammy chute trail for me.

so any information , links, ect would be really useful so i can figure out what i wanna do and start selling my organs to buy the right parts.

i figured there would be a wealth of knowledge via the internet and a supportive forum. joining jeep groups is a bit more social than i typically like. and one would usually end up meeting a bunch of fare weather friends.
