I have tried searching the forums and online to answer my question, but did not find anything. If this has already been answered somewhere, I apologize.
I have VP2_7 JL NA SXM (APTIV) radio, part number (P)68428547AD with a cracked screen. All I want to do is replace the screen, but that seems difficult to locate a screen that will work. Everything I can find says "Delphi Only", and that they will not work on my APTIV radio.
From there, I looked into replacing the radio with another VP2_7. At the time of writing this, there are two available here on the forums in the Market, but the part numbers do not match. OEM part websites say the part numbers that are available do not fit my year, make, and model Jeep. So my question is, can some radios be used in different model Jeeps? Is there a cross reference? What about the screens? Could I buy a (P)68297546AE radio and use it in place of my (P)68428457AD? Or, could I at least use just the screen? What do I gain or lose using a different PN radio, or will simply not work at all? I would prefer to keep the 7" and all the stock functionality.
