Should be related to bad welds. That more than qualifies as a safety issue.

On vacation in Arizona and swung by Larry Miller CDJ in Surprise on Thursday to, what else, look at Jeeps. Buried in their far back lot, I found this JL. The fact that the window sticker is covering the driver's windshield makes it pretty clear they do not want this vehicle driven. Dealer won't discuss (I have been to this dealership before and they have always been less than helpful...tried to sell me a JKU Sahara last year for $3,000 over MSRP because they had to go get it from another AZ dealer. Pure BS). Keda69 ran the VIN (provided) for this JL thru the Mopar and the NHSTA recall sites and found nothing.

This afternoon, I stopped at Bill Luke CDJ in Phoenix and a salesperson brought up a recall site on his computer; usual array of airbag recalls and a few other things, but nothing on the JL. He said he had not heard of any recall associated with that model, but did mention there was some sort of "slow down" with the delivery of JLs with no explanation as to why.

ScottyB, did they happen to mention what the recall was for? Anyone else know anything regarding this "recall?"
