Hi there,

Just wanted to start a thread about this to see if anyone else is experiencing these issues and has found resolution.

I have a 2024 Jeep Sport S with base factory speaker system/uconnect5 (no nav)

Issues have been things like:
- Brief (1-2 second), intermittent black out of sound during play back (typically every few songs) - USB A and Bluetooth
- Siri glitching (icon appearing when button pressed but then fading/bugging) - USB A and Bluetooth
- Failure to connect device upon start up - Bluetooth
- Complete loss of audio to where phone appears connected and will even display a new song when prompted but will not play. Pressing play/pause icon will switch between two commands but nothing further will happen - USB A and Bluetooth

I took the vehicle back to the dealer this week after I had done my own troubleshooting and followed every piece of advice I could find online. Unfortunately, they were unable to replicate any of these issues but did say these are common problems (among Jeep but also other 2024 vehicles) and they hope a software update will come out soon to resolve.

I should note that it appears to me that using USB C yields little to no issues - which is great! Would still prefer that the system works as advertised though.

I had massive issues with phones connecting via BT or usb. I did a factory reset and that cleared up 99% of the problems. I still have issues of the UConnect 5 and Apple CarPlay trying to connect, constantly, to my wife’s phone even though my phone is already connected. It is her2024 Rubicon X and I only drive it when we are together. We’ve never had this issue in my 2022 Rubicon. Then again UConnect 4 doesn’t do BT carplay. I’m contemplating killing BT all together to stop the constant connection fighting between phones.

Hi @pfletcher229648 ! Thanks for taking the time to reply to my thread!

Just for clarification, are you referring to a factory reset of the phone or the infotainment system itself? I’m making an assumption that you refer to the phone as the only uconnect reset I’ve found in my online travels involves simply pushing the on/off button for 10 secs, which isn’t a reset at all but merely a restart of the system with all settings still intact.

I have not reset my phone but that should be the next logical step, I’d guess. Both myself and my husbands phones cause the same problems in the Jeep but both were up to date on iOS.

Sorry for not being clear. I first started doing just the reboot of the radio/uconnect5 but that stopped working. I had to do a factory reset of the uconnect5 radio in the Jeep. It’s in the settings menu. That cleared up most of the issues. I still have connectivity issues occasionally when both of our phones are in the Jeep but a reboot seems to clear it up now.

We have iPhones on the latest iOS.

I have these problems constantly. Screen goes black for like 1-2 seconds. Intermittent audio dropping out. Apple Carplay disconnects often and I have to restart the radio while driving to fix it. But dealer says It's a "known" issue.
