Started today. I know, try a new USBC/USBC cable. :) Haven’t tried that yet. Searches for the “Device not supported” error came up dry.

iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 17.3.1 which is the latest update.

Uconnect 8.4 in a 2021 JLUR screenshots attached.

Any ideas?

I get that constantly. I ended up just buying one of those wireless carplay adapters and it's worked way better since then. Current phone is an iPhone 15 Pro Max, last one was a 13 Pro Max. Same behavior on both.

I got that too on a factory Apple cable. Switched to a Monster cable and the issue went away. Also would say charging on the times it did decide to work, and an hour later only went up a couple percent. Monster cable is incredibly fast charging now. iPhone 14

Always try the easy to swap parts first. I started getting that several months ago, right after I upgraded to iOS 17. That was my original suspicion. Couldn’t find any info to support that issue. So I moved on and replaced the cable, New cable seemed to make it go away. I haven’t gotten it since. I too was baffled, but if a $5 cable swap made it go away who am I to question it.

Good luck.

I use the Motorola MA-1 dongle for wireless Android Auto on my '21 JLUR and I just dismiss the screen when it pops up, then everything works anyway

Sometimes it just happens. Restart the truck and reconnect the cable.
I stopped by the local Apple Store and picked up a couple 1M USBC/USBC cables. If it's the cable figured it's good to have a spare.

Didn't fix the issue. I thought maybe the Uconnect 8.4 received an over the air update. Ugh.

The cable that I had in the Jeep (not the two new ones) works fine when I'm at home connecting my iPhone to my MacBook Pro.

Ugh

I went the same route, from an iPhone 13 Pro Max to an iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Oh well, Bluetooth works, so at least I can stream my music, will try resetting the Uconnect to see if that works.

I picked up an iPad Mini 6 (WiFi/Cellular) a couple days ago, waiting for the RAM Mount stuff to come in, so I can test onX, Gaia GPS, Trails Offroad, etc. Will see if *it* is able to connect.

Have you tried different places to plug in. Some say the console is the best spot to plug in

I only use port 1, since it is the recommended port but I can try.

And today it works with both the old and new cables.
