There seems to be no mention of this on this forum, and someone (someday) may find it useful here, so:
I was looking for info on this "dealer mode" I keep hearing about, and how I might get into it on my 2024 Wrangler 4xe, and ran across a post at <https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/uconnect-5-dealer-mode.50093/> that mentioned getting into Android recovery. I had to try it, and the same procedure works on my Jeep.
You just hold down mute and the driver-side temp up and down buttons at the same time for a count of 10 or so and *boom* your uConnect drops into the same recovery mode that phones and tablets do.
Nifty.
You very much do not want to mess with this unless you know what you're doing, but if someone finds the USB lead that's connectable for the Android debugger adb this is the first step in installing custom software onto the uConnect 5.
Which would be very, very nifty.
