Trans Problem @ 50k with P1B14, P0735 and P1D9A Codes

18 JLU 2.0T 850 Trans - left for work today and check engine light was on. My Alpine will read codes so I check and the P1B14 showed up. Stopped, shift to park and turned off, started up again and then get the "Shift to P then select gear" loop. Check again and the other two show up. First tow truck driver clueless how to get to neutral so they reassign to another company. 4 hours later its at the dealer and they are just all shrugs and telling me "several days" before they can even look at it.

Anyone had these problems? 0735 is 5th gear incorrect ratio? P1D9A is Incorrect gear ratio C or D? It's under warranty or at least I hope but curious if anyone has experienced same problem.

How could it not? Did you look up towing in the owners manual? I’m honestly not familiar with the full-time TC.
There’s apparently an override switch under the dash that allows the operation despite the p1b14 code. Second tow driver got it. I left it at side of road in favor of work. Thankfully my son drives my hand me down 2014 Cruze that runs flawlessly

Dealer called today - it's definitely something wrong IN the transmission. They are going to try to figure it out at some point and see "if" they can get parts. I simply asked if I should pick up a rental or drop off my payment coupon for August. I don't think he was amused, but honestly where did service go?

Here it's a month later and I have nothing more than a month ago - they say it's the valve body in the transmission that is bad but they cannot order or source the part. They asked for approval to replace Trans and they cannot get that either! What is going on!

Final disposition on my repair - took 49 days. I called Jeep Cares about 2+ weeks ago and they were absolutely no help. They took a week and a half to contact me and they said:


Good Morning,

I am reaching out to you via email, as I have attempted to contact you by phone and have not received a response, I am looking to confirm what dealer you brought your vehicle to as the one we have on file states you're vehicle is not there. Of course I never received a call prior to this email and this rep (name and extension removed) never contacted me after even though I immediately responded by phone and email.

The dealer's order for the valve body was never fulfilled. They were able to find one available at another dealer and purchase that one from them to be able to install and get me on my way. I appreciate the ingenuity of my dealer in getting the part and if they send me a survey, I will make sure to give them high marks. Stellantis however, not so much - there are a million JLs on the road and they can't provide replacement parts. Clearly has to be a balance between building new and servicing existing owners, especially warranty repairs.
