They mean nothing. Just marketing fluff. Keep ‘em, remove ‘em, or change ‘em as you see fit. Enjoy the new ride! They’re fun!Being new to wranglers, bought my first one 3 months ago.
I notice most have a badge on front fenders saying trail rated.
I saw one today that said Sahara rated.
what do these badges mean?
thanks
For some reason it bothers me that the Jeep in that first badge is facing backwards. The OEM badge says "Trail Rated", but there are vendors who sell a variety of replacements for whatever you are into.

They actually do mean something. The vehicles are tested to a standard by the National Automotive Test Center (NATC) in Arizona or Nevada. Testing involves mechanical and performance standards. Same goes for the “Desert rated” badge on the Gladiator Mojave. Does anyone care? Maybe not, but there actually is a testing standard. They mean nothing. Just marketing fluff. I stand corrected. It’s a series of 5 tests created by Jeep, to test Jeeps. Then Jeep can place a badge on their own vehicles to say they passed the rating criteria. They actually do mean something.
