I’m seriously considering switching from the stock KO2s soon (39k miles) on my 21 JLURED to these new Toyo RT Trail tires in 315/70/17 size. Little heavier and D Load rated. Has anyone tried these tires yet? Curious about other experiences.

I considered them but went with the AT3 instead, same price but the RT are heavier and I couldn’t see the benefit.

Thanks for responding. How are you liking the AT3s especially off-road in rock conditions? I’m not sure if the sidewalls will hold up the same.

I’ve only had them for a couple months but they were great offroad at Windrock. Rocks there aren’t super sharp though, and my Jeep is about as light as you can be.

Just had some installed last month.
About 5k miles, mostly highway.
I have 2 short off road trips in them.
Excellent on the highway compared to mud terrain, no surprise.
So far so good off road. I can tell I have lost a little capability but, still early.

Not that size, but Toyo RT Trails in 35. About 3k so far and love them over the KO2s I replaced at 41k. Did a week long trip in eastern sierras up Mt Patterson, Kavanaugh Ridge, and Laurel Lakes and they performed very well on those rocky trails. Surprised how quiet they are compared to MTs and mostly worn KO2s.

I have them in 37/1250/17 and so far been off roading in the in the high sierras trails like the rubicon and everything in between. I have mixed feelings. I Had a tire pull and swapped it to passenger side and that fixed it. Last trip off road came back and felt like they are way out of balance. Drove it a couple days ago after sitting for about a week and they seem a lot louder and need balancing again. I think this tire is very susceptible to tire pressure when it comes to noise? It seems the lower the pressure the louder it gets, I just keep the radio up around 12 to 15 and all is good. Off road in the rocks and some snow they seem pretty good, no complaints. They do seem to pack up pretty good in the mud but I have yet to try them out in anything serious.

Thanks for sharing your experience with them, I ended up buying them about 4k miles ago. I was out for 5 days in Sept around Bridgeport and Mammoth. Went up Mt. Patterson, Belfort, Kavanaugh Ridge, and Laurel Lakes. Towed my trailer on and off road. I’m really liking them.

tire shop inflated to 35 cold and currently I’m running 32 cold. I need to chalk test but overall, I’m ver6 happy with them and getting ready to do a rotate.

What are your thought on 37x12.5R17 Toyo RT Trail after running them for a while longer?
My concern is weight and E load rating?
My 392 is 80% on-road driving. Looking for a more aggressive treat pattern over 35" stock K02.
Would you buy again?
Notice much performance difference over stock tire?
