Ticking noise from back gate

Not sure if this was ever asked before as I am new to the forum. I have a 2022 wrangler sport s. I get this ticking noise now from the back gate when I hit a bump or swing the gate open and shut. I tried to figure out if it was the hinges but still not sure. I only have a 31inch as a spare so I doubt it’s too heavy. Today I grabbed the spare tire (still attached to the jeep) and lifted it as much as I could and the noise went away. Wondering if the tire is too heavy or tire carrier need to be changed or hinges need to be tightened???
