Telematics Control Unit (TCU)

Wondering if anyone was able to sucessfully remove or disable the modern spy built in our vehicles called Telematics Control Unit (TCU) on Jeep Wranglers JLs?
Is it integrated with something or is it a separate unit, where is it mounted, can we stop using it without dash errors... etc.?

I see 3~4 threads talking about telematics module and unplugging some stuff for newer units when I Googled.
