Coming back to this after a few weeks of driving. Still very slightly have a floating kind of feeling so I took it back to the shop and they tried to get some more caster.

Unfortunately they couldnt get past 5.2 on the drivers side with the current control arms so we’re replacing the uppers and lowers Tuesday with some Teraflex adjustable control arms so it can get dialed in.

What caused me to revisit it was I let my daughter drive the other day and in the passenger seat I could feel the “floating” quite a bit.

Let ya know Tuesday what happens.

Just had a ton of work done (axle swap, knuckles, axle shafts, ball joints) and have noticed a weird sensation Ive never had before. It feels like a sway back and forth. Almost like when you drive in a uneven spot in a road and it wants to pull you to the side. Except its going left and right. Its not severe but its there.

I dont think its an alignment issue as I just had one done 2 days ago however I did change from 35’s to 37’s yesterday. Plus it tracks pretty straight.

My 37” KO2’s are at 32 psi. Same that I ran my 35’s at. Im going to drop them to 28 and see what that feels like. The chalk test shows Im slightly high.

I did notice my trackbar up front is 1/8” to the drivers side. I need to adjust it but would that cause the feeling Im getting?

My sway bar quick disconnects are torqued and the links are tight, no slop.

Anything else I should be looking at?
Kind of had a similar issue. '21 rubicon 2 door mopar lift on 37s is how we bought it. First time driving the thing wandered all over the road at freeway speeds, white knuckled, very stressful. Eveyone told me "its a jeep" Round 1 we added adj trackbar, front lower control arms, falcon adjustable steering stabilizer (set to firm) and then the right alignment done by a good offroad shop. Night and day difference calmed it down a ton but still not happy, still felt sketchy at times. If we hit a bad patch of road it would wonder again and you would have to focus on not trying to correct it because that made it worse. So round 2 we installed steer smart steering sector shaft brace. holy sh!t didnt really expect much but wow it now drives so nice you can actually relax and just drive, stable steering no constant corrections needed. My thinking is w/o it we would hit the smallest bump and that force would cause the steering box to flex and that would input movement thru steering system. Not sure if it would help you but for us it was a BFD. Next up we want to address the ride quality, it rides like a dump truck, I think maybe 2 doors are lighter and the suspension (mopar/fox lift) is set up for 4 door either way we are going to coilovers.

I’ve been considering the sector shaft brace. I think after I get the control arms done and the new alignment I’m gonna put that on the list of next things to do. I don’t really get a lot of feedback from bumps or any bump steer unless it’s a pretty drastic pothole or something like that but I think for the cost it’s worth it to do just for peace of mind and to maybe tighten up the steering even more.

Got a call this morning that there was some cancellations on the schedule so I took the Jeep up and got some Teraflex Alpine upper and lower control arms on.

We settled on 6.8 caster and toe 1/16” in. I dont feel the floating even in the passenger seat anymore and its tracking really well. Its pretty windy so I cant test how long it will hold a lane like before.

We’re going to go ahead an do the sector shaft brace in a few weeks but thats just because Im running out of mods to do lol.

So once again, thanks everyone for the help. Im very happy with how its driving.
