This is my first Jeep and I am trying to swap out my halogen bulbs and I'm coming across a couple problems trying to remove the front grille. I'm able to take all of the locking clips out, but when I try to actually remove the grille from the front of the jeep, it doesn't release. In fact, it feels almost like I am going to break it off. Anything I might be missing? I have been trying to follow videos online. Any advice for a newb would be helpful!

As long as you have pulled the 6 clips out, you just need to yank out and up. There are clips down low still holding it in.

I felt like I was going to break mine as well ... I'm assuming your trying to grab one side, and pull? try to grab it in the middle, and that side, but yes you have to pull hard enough where its uncomfortable ..

6 clips and pull ..

The preceding video illustrates the correct technique, and the amount of focused effort required to release the lower clips. I too held my breath when removing the grille to install my Bolt hood lock.

Bear down and pull carefully, but do pull.
